6061 ALUMINUM ALLOY CHARACTERISTICS:
Welding = Excellent
Machining / Grinding = Good
Bending / Forming = Poor
Wear Resistance = Good
Corrosion Resistance = Good
6061 T6 Aluminum Square Tube
Grade 6061 aluminum has good strength and corrosion resistance properties, is easily anodizable and machinable, and is even bendable in some cases.Due to its versatility, 6061 can be used in structural components, bike frames, machined parts, and boating components.
6061 is also weldable. Overall, grade 6061 aluminum square tube is a structural aluminum alloy that provides many excellent features and outstanding benefits.
