5052 Aluminum Plate With Excellent Thermal Conductivity Used For Aircraft Fuel Tanks
5052 Aluminum Plate is primarily alloyed with magnesium and chromium. It has good workability, medium static strength, high fatigue strength, good weldability, and very good corrosion resistance, especially in marine atmospheres. It also has the low density and excellent thermal conductivity, used for aircraft fuel tanks, storm shutters, refrigerator liners and panels, etc.
5052 aluminum plate can be joined by conventional welding methods. Inert gas-shielded tungsten or consumable electrode arc welding are the preferred joining methods.
Forging and hot working of 5052 are typically performed at temperature range of 500 to 950 degrees Fahrenheit.
